My read aloud feature when set on 1x is too fast and the 0.75x is too slow. I tried to adjust on my MacBookpro accessibilty area, but when I change the settings there, it doesn't transfer over to my logos book.
See the pause button when Read Aloud is active? Right beside it is a light gray (hard to see) speed indicator. Click the indicated speed to cycle through options. Not intuitive at all, but it works.
The keyboard command to have Mac read to you is Option + Esc; highlight the text you want read to you, give it a second or two as it may delay starting.
Thank you, but it's' not a matter of finding the speed adjuster, but that 1x is too fast and .75 is too slow. How do I find a happy medium?
The Mac speed adjuster is a slider unlike the Logos speed adjuster. The only unpleasant differences is the voice is not as natural and highlighting what you want read is not to my liking.
I found a good voice, but I still can't find a speed that I like, 1x is too fast and 75x is too slow. My MacBook Pro speed adjuster unfortunately does not affect the logos read aloud feature. When I set the Mac speed adjuster to a speed that I like, it does not translate onto my logos read aloud feature.
The readers are separate. The Logos reader and Mac readers are distinct. To have the Mac read to you use the steps I outlined to you. Highlight the text, then use the Option + Esc key board command, this will activate the settings you selected in Accessibility > Read & Speak > System Voice > "encircled" i > Rate "slider" > Done.
I think Ken wants his cake, and eat it too. Justifyably.
But he wants to eat it gentleman like, not too fast and neither too slow. The lack of Playback speed options has long been a bone of contention . I too, like Ken, would like much finer control over it, although my preference is for a little bit faster but not too much. We each like to savour our cake in our own way.

I am using the Study Assistant to gather answers to questions. I will use the material in articles and books. How to I cite the use of Study Assistant? How can I find the date that I accessed the Study Assistant?
This has been happening for some time over at least the last few releases. When choosing "Library" from the main toolbar, the CPU immediately spikes to 100% and stays there until the pane is closed or the app is force-quit. There is an article that mentions it could be related to indexing but the app was just upgraded to…
Hi I have some old school notes that I would like to put in Logos pro they are hand written and it would be nice to have them in the Logos app. I have seen several ways mentioned like Sermon builder, set them up in the notes part to the program and then type them up in word and transfer them into Logos as a book. any…
How do I add a Study Assistant conversation to Favorites? I see that I can add the Study Assistant tool to Favorites, but I haven't figured out how to add a specific conversation to Favorites. When I drag it to Favorites it just adds the tool. I tried to see if I could copy/paste the link in but there's no paste function.…
Can someone from Faithlife/Logos provide an approximate date for the arrival of the 2026 Denominational Libraries?
