I am overwhelmed by all the functions. The videos seem never ending. Are just a few that cover the functions of Logos and other basics? If I share a scripture is there away to do so without logos putting their name and ads with it?
Welcome @James Floyd
Are just a few that cover the functions of Logos and other basics?
There are a sequence of articles / videos here that might give you what you are looking for
If I share a scripture is there away to do so without logos putting their name and ads with it?
Are you thinking of emailing / posting to social media / something else?
Graham
thanks, there is so much. I feel like I need aspirin and phd to figure it all out.
Nah. Just the phD. Smiling … like a mountain climb, worth the view!
When I first got into Logos, I remember being all over the place, wanting and trying to learn everything at once. I invested a lot in training resources, much of which I've yet to use. Then I took a long break during what I call the COVID years, where I did only the basics (reading, highlighting, note taking). When I was ready to get back to serious use of Logos and I got the available feature set, the first thing I did was revisit the Morris Proctor QuickStart videos to get me on track (much has changed since then but I think these may still be helpful for new users and good as refreshers as well). From that time, I've simply learned as I went along. If I wanted to use a certain tool or feature for the first time, I would look up the manual or the training videos and take it from there, and I no longer concerned myself with trying to get everything. This mindset shift helped tame the overwhelm.
All that said, I hope you find a learning process that works for you. Logos had made a lot of help available for learning the application, and you can always come to the forums as another source of help. I have learned a lot from the forums, in the questions I asked directly, but much more from the questions of other users.
@Yasmin Stephen :

ME TOO! What I learnt is that I can't learn everything! I'm ok with that. And that's sad.
Here is an alternative approach for Logos to consider. Instead of creating 1-hour videos for each tool, how about creating short videos based on tasks. One short video for each of the task that we all do as part of our Bible study would be great.
For example,
Task #1: How to take Notes as you read the Bible?
Task #2: How to organize Notes by Topic using Notebooks?
Task #3: How to see your Notes taken in 1 translation in another translation?
Task #4: How to create Tags to help future searches
…
Short videos that are laser focused on just one simple task at a time will help customers use the full suite. In turn, people will recommend Logos to all their friends. 100K to pay a person (I'm sure @Graham Criddle could do an amazing job) for one year to do such short videos would pay off Logos 100X over time.
My wife is a PhD just like me and, by definition, is open to learning new things. But she refuses to use Logos other than for basic Bible reading simply because it is too costly to learn to use Logos.
Individual tasks videos -yes!

There are a lot of such videos here.
Please have a look and let us know if these are the sort of things you are referring to

Thanks for the recommendation!
Yes, these are the training videos I was referring to! They have been very helpful to me, along with the training articles.
