My previous bug report is an extreme case; but in general, crediting smaller contributors the same as full coauthors is at least confusing if not misleading at times.
Moreover, it often leads me to leave Logos and go to a competitor site, where they distinguish each contributor link with some nonhyperlinked text e.g.
- "(Author)" who should be given the main credit.
- "(Forward)" who wrote relatively little.
- "(Narrator)" for an audiobook, who I'll grant invested significant effort, but didn't write any of it.
Why doesn't Logos do that? OK, I can hear now that adding such metadata for your 6-figure inventory would be overwhelming, so how about at least starting to distinguish authors for newly added works?
