Why does outline title change for songs but not for Bible Passages?

I often preach a series and duplicate the previous presentation to reuse the background theme. When I change the praise songs it automatically changes the title in the slide outline in the left column. But when you change the reading it doesn't so you have to change it manually. It would be great if this could be automatic.

I’m running into the same issue, Stephen, and it’s become even more noticeable with the recent Proclaim update. Songs still auto‑update their outline titles when you change them, but Scripture items don’t behave the same way.

For us, it’s especially challenging because we often use multi‑verse passages. Since the outline no longer updates automatically, we now have to manually edit the outline entry for each verse or section. What used to be a quick, reliable workflow has turned into a lot of extra clicking and double‑checking.

It would be incredibly helpful if Bible passages could follow the same auto‑update behavior as songs. That consistency would save a lot of time and reduce the chance of missing an outline entry when prepping a presentation.

Hoping this is something the team can bring back or improve—it really made Scripture slides much easier to manage.

Also, you are the first comment I read today about this but there must be others,this change was noticeable more than a month ago.

I am going to make my own comment and look for others in the forum. I have heard that Faith LIFE has been responsive in the past to customers comments.
