Moving my personal books to a new system

I have a few hundred personal books and I want to move to a new system which I think means rebuilding the personal book library. I am assuming that I have to add them one at a time.

My question is: is there a way to print out a master list of what I have already, with titles, author names, and the files referenced? I could use that as a guide to re-add the books in the new system.

Or maybe there is an easier way?

Hi @Lasda , when I recently set up a new PC all my personal books were automatically downloaded to my new PC through Logos.

I think you can simply start by installing on a new device, but be sure to keep your old one until you are sure that your personal books were transferred.

Were you "uploading" them? I have tended to avoid that because I believe that "uploaded" books cannot be edited which is a concern for me.

Yes, you can't edit them. As far as I know, once you "build" your book it gets uploaded.

If you want to keep the editable versions, you'll have to move your word files separately.

If you click on one of your personal books, it will show the chosen word file if it still exists in the same location from which you last added it to Logos…

You have to upload them for an automatic transfer.
Else copy the resources folder and Scan them into the new system e.g. type scan W:Resources in the Command box, where W: is a removable drive. If you stop the installation as soon as resources begin to be copied you can restart Logos and the Scan command will save a lot of downloading.

If you want only the PB's then transfer files with a .lbspbb suffix to W:. and wait until the installation is complete.
