Steps to reproduce :
I'm not seeing this on my Mac (I am running the latest beta of 49.0) although it does take longer to close the About Logos panel than I would expect
Please enable diagnostic logging and upload logs in a reply to this thread after a hang (details on logging are available here)

Sorry @Michelle - I should have made it clear that I didn't expect the fact that I was running version 49 to make any difference in this area (I was just mentioning it for completeness)
I have just checked on Verbum 48 (which will be operating the same as Logos 48) and I have no problems in using the About Verbum option
So please don't expect Logos 49 to fix this for you - if it is important to you it needs to be investigated further.

I tried waiting for around 5 minutes, then it's back to normal, turned out that I just have to be patient.

@Michelle Sorry you are experiencing this issue. If you could please download the Logos Logging Utility via the link towards the bottom of this support article so you can get a sample of the application. Once you have downloaded the logging utility, please follow these steps with Logos running: 1. Open Logos Logging Utility
2. Open About Logos
3. Close About Logos
4. Click the Sample button in the Logos Logging Utility. This will collect a sample of the application and ask you where to save the collected data
5. Please attach the file you saved above here so we can look into this for you

What I did :

Obvious error : something about Rust crashing.
Mine isn't crashing, but when I close About, I get a beachball for about two seconds.
In this instance, this isn't actually an error as the sample will not fully symbolicate the traces it collects. Based on the sample collected, it looks like you clicked the Sample button after when it appears the application was responding again as it indicates the application is sitting idle waiting for input 98% of the sample time. I'm sorry the instructions weren't clear, but the sample needs to be collected as soon as you close About Logos.
Are you able to collect another sample right after closing About Logos?
If you are opening and immediately closing About, this is expected as it currently has to finish laying out the large license text before the panel can be closed. If you wait until that has completed, it should close without getting the beachball.

This please. What you are describing in Flow 1 sounds like the application is hanging (not crashing) and the sample will tell us what Logos is doing while it is hanging and unresponsive. It can currently take a couple of seconds as Nate describes, but it should not take minutes like you are describing.

Thank you! You were faster than I could get a response in 😂 I just looked at your logs and what was collected is the same thing that Nate describes, but that should not be taking minutes to complete. Was About still visible when it stopped taking the sample? Last thing that might provide more insight is if you could do a screen recording. You can send it directly if you don't feel comfortable posting to the forums. Thank you again for the help in tracking this down,
