I would like to suggest the inclusion of the complete Joseph Ratzinger Gesammelte Schriften (Collected Works), published in German by Herder Verlag.
This is a major scholarly edition comprising 16 volumes (in multiple sub-volumes), which gathers the most important theological writings of Joseph Ratzinger / Pope Benedict XVI across his entire academic career—from his early work on Augustine and Bonaventure to his mature contributions in Christology, ecclesiology, and Vatican II studies.
Currently, Logos includes at least part of this material, as the Jesus of Nazareth volumes are already available (corresponding to part of Volume 6 of the Gesammelte Schriften). However, having only a fragment of this critical edition limits its scholarly usefulness.
Making the full Gesammelte Schriften available in Logos would be of immense value for academic research and theological study. This collection is the standard reference edition for Ratzinger’s theological work and is widely used in serious scholarship, especially in its original German form.
In particular, the series is organized thematically and includes carefully edited texts, often with authorial prefaces and contextual materials, making it far more than a simple aggregation of previously published works.
Given the growing interest in Ratzinger’s theology—especially in academic contexts and in preparation for the 2027 centenary of his birth—this would be a highly strategic and valuable addition to the Logos ecosystem.
Thank you very much for your consideration and for your continued efforts to expand the depth and quality of the Logos library.
