Does anyone else think the collections tool is poor?

So with the recent (and welcome) changes to study assistant allowing you to only query your own books, I thought i'd create myself a collection of the commentaries, dictionaries etc I like. But the collections tool is hard to use - or am I doing something wrong? I can do a query like 'BST' and it shows me all the BST commentaries - but then if I want to add in another series I have to drag each one individually. It won't let you drag multiple books.

Not especially. Almost everything in Logos is harder to use than it should be. Why should Collections be any different?

One of my collections I started making a list of the ones I thought were most valuable (just my opinion of course). This is what it looks like. It requires manual editing.

Best Commentaries (Single Volume)
type:bible-commentary AND author:"Wright, N. T. ","Beale, G.K.","Bruce,F.F.","Carson,D.A.", "Ladd, George Eldon", "Kohlenberger, John R., III" ({Series None} OR {Series "Expositor’s Bible Commentary, Abridged Edition"})

I tend to tag my favourites "bestcommentaries" and then build a collection with the rule: mytag:bestcommentaries - that way I never have to mess with the rule.

No, I don't think it is 'poor,' but I do think it could be improved a bit.

If you are dragging much for collections, you are (IMO) wasting your time. The power of the collections tool is in the dynamic aspect, not the manual. As Greg said, good use of tags can make this much easier. (And you can use boolean operators for multiple books.)
