Highlights

II suggest we completely analyse the highlight program. I read the bible through each year and highlight as I read !! I would like large bolder colors like the bold black we currently have!!!

II sometimes wonder why I don't just make every word bold black!! I would like to boldly highlight words that God speaks, not the awful color and megaphone we currently use!!!

Very bold red, purple, etc would be fantastic

AAlso, how about updating the mobile app to include many,many more features!!!!!

Maybe you already know what I'm about to show you, and I've misunderstood, but just in case:

When I say "highlight," I usually am thinking of a yellow highlighter (or some other color) that changes not the letters themselves, but the background around them, but you said "like the bold black we currently have," so I think you mean making not the background but the foreground of a word or several words bold and in some bright color. Here are two examples of what you can do right now, that might be similar to what you mean. The Highlighter Palette is on the left, my ESV text on the right:

I just made two new Highlighter styles for a demo, here, selected the colors I wanted, and then made the font each of them uses Arial Black, which is big and heavy. You could pick a big, heavy serif font or whatever big and bold font you have on your computer that looks good to you if the "bold" setting on the default font isn't bold enough for you . The "Bold, Big" one at the bottom is set to bold and 120% size. There are lots of options available to you!

I would also like to highlight in large red letters

Occasionally I can highlight in bright red, then push highlight again and select large black !! My highlight changes to bold red rather than bold black !! Logas,said it was,an anomaly!!

Walt, I'm impressed that you're using Logos at 87, because it's a really big, really complicated application, and it's not easy to learn! They're trying to make it easier, but it's still not simple. I'm no spring chicken, either: in my 70s, and I find it much harder to deal with tech stuff than I used to! My brother's in his 80s, and he still calls me from time to time and asks, "Is this Tech Support?" because I used to be really good at tech. But these days, boy, not so much!

I think it has everything you need to know about how to use the highlighter tool, including how to make your own custom highlighter styles if you want to. But there are a whole lotta highlighter styles already set up for us in the Highlighter Tool, so it's worth exploring them all, and fooling around with them to see what you might want to use for different purposes. You might have all you need!

You might want to go over that page I offered above more than once. Going over it slowly, finding everything they're showing you on your own Logos on your own computer, should help a lot. I'll be happy to try to help, too, but that page has a lot of great instructions on it, with pictures that show exactly what they're talking about. Check it out! :)
