With Last months update I wanted to install the upgrade. So I removed the version i was using and tried to instal the newer one and it would not work.
You usually upgrade from the App Store on mobile, so are you talking about the desktop app for MacOS (what version?)
Why would you delete the previous version? I have always simply updated the installed version. This has always worked without incident.
