Why do I have to specify a tag?????????????

Why do I have to specify a tag to make a post when the tags are a curated list rather than open-ended, and none of them apply to the post????????

I'm going to start using random, unrelated tags as long as this is the policy.

Actually I don't think it is wise to use misleading tags and they should be removed. Jason probably is glad to expand the list of available tags, if something is missing (which I feel uncertain about with 235 available tags right now - and some question about the forum probably runs in his mind under tag "Community")

@Doc B, our tags cover most all application features (e.g., Atlas) and community use cases (e.g., Bug). Beyond that, we have a few general tags (e.g., Logos, Community). What tags are missing ?

I also feel that the process of making a new post is extremely cumbersome, with so many mandatory fields to fill in before the post is accepted and posted. Can you please simplify the process by making most of the fields optional?

For whatever reason the initial menu choice (English, etc) doesn't populate for me. So, it's curtains for posting any new thread. Safari/mobile.

Then, posts loose characters on the beginning or end. I chuckle to see it stripping other's msg's too. It just can't help it.
