I am looking for a Bible Dictionary and I would like to have more information on the positive and negatives for the one that you found and why.
I have over 75 Bible Dictionaries (type:encyclopedia) but I find "Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible" to be very informative and thorough over a wide range of topics (it claims to have over 5700 articles). "Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary" should satisfy the need for colour photos and maps with articles, and complements Baker in that regard.
I like the Faithlife Study Bible … you probably have it.
Except it is not a Bible Dictionary!
Darn, you're right! I still like it … good depth and balanced. I don't do Bible dictionaries. I do use Anchor Yale … which has it as a title!.
Using the search "type:encyclopedia title:bible" I have 41. I agree with Dave. I also use often "The Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary" and "The Zondervan Encyclopedia of the Bible".
I've found the Lexham Bible Dictionary to be very helpful. It has over 7000 articles.
