Subheadings in Personal Books

Question

In a Personal Books Bible, I am creating a docx file and am using the formatting options in MS Word:

Title (New Testament)

Heading 1 for the name of the Book

Heading 2 for Chapter Numbers

Heading 3 for Sub-Section Headings

But, after uploading, in Logos, in the drop-down menu for the Table of Contents, sometimes the sub-section headings show and sometimes not. They show just fine in the text of the document itself.

I thought it might be due to some hidden coding in MS Word itself; so I tried Clear All Formatting and then clicked on Heading 3, but that didn't resolve the issue.

Is there a trick to making this work?

A related question: In some older posts, it had been stated that if you use Times New Roman, size 12, the font will convert in Logos to the Resource Font. It didn't work that way for me, but that was an older post. Is there an update on how that works now?

I don't know of a trick - I typically look at the document in Word in Outline view (filtered to a sensible heading level, e.g. 4 in your case), which gives the Headings and lets me see any issues.

…And if you have a carriage return in mid-verse, after the {{field-on:Bible}} , but before the {{field-off:Bible}} syntax, will Logos then report an error that there is a field off:Bible where there is no field on?
