Has Logos shared a development roadmap?
I used my iPad at church today and have to say the device is nice but Logos on it is far too slow and limited. The over the air nature of all the data is just too slow to keep up and the lack of split pane viewing is terribly limiting. I have PocketBible too and it's layout and functionality is great but it doesn't do anything with original languages and can't match things like Passage Guide and Bible Word Study. I am wondering if I need to go to option three which is Olive Tree or if Logos is committed to trying to make the Logos iPad app more functional.
Not meant as a rant I just don't want to spend the money on another product if I don't have to.

Just curious... did you use the offline mode for the books you were using?
I hear ya about the other functions, though. I use my iPad as an adjunct to my PC/Mac-based versions of Logos, so I think of it more as a portal into my resources rather than the primary Bible application. Are you thinking of your iPad as the primary interface you'll use?

No, because what I really like to do is get access to the interlinear material and Bible Word Study. As our pastor preaches I like to follow his sermon in a Greek NT and my ESV while digging deeper on the Greek when something catches my eye. You have to be online to do this and I can do it but it is so slow that sometimes it gets me too far behind. Then again I am probably trying to do too much when I should be focusing on the sermon itself.

Again, no. I use L4 primarily for my study and that is probably why I am so spoiled. I see what is possible and what a little more of it in my lap on Sunday morning. I am just starting to learn Greek so I am trying to keep it in front of my eyes all the time as that is how I learn. That is the big thing I am missing is middle ground Greek material. I am not proficient enough to just have my Greek text up on Sunday. Some day I imagine but until then I hope for stronger learning tools.

I think you've solved your own problem. [:)]
