How would I search these fourms for a post written by me within the last week or 2.

If I click on my name at the top right hand side of the forum page my profile has a list of recent activity. Maybe you could check yours there also.

That would seem like a great idea. For some reason, however, I never have any recent activity. I do not know why. Am I just persona non-grata here? [:)]
You have to turn recent activity on in your profile (click on the 'edit' button in the top right, then choose "Site options" and scroll to the bottom.
However, instead you can click on the number of your posts (it appears below your avatar in many places on the forum), you'll get the same information.
The problem is that the search index information appears to only be updated once per week (~Monday depending on timezone). Apart from the forum search being close to useless - please fix it Logos!
