File Formats (.logos4 vs. .lbxlls)
I was going through my library earlier and noticed that a lot of my books did not convert over to the new .logos4 file extension. Most if not all, are third party offerings from Libronix 3 days.
One of my favorite commentaries is Revelation: Four Views by Steve Gregg. It is still in the .lbxlls format.
Does the book have any limitations compared to a .logos4 book or is the new file extension just that, a new extension.
Just curious.

As I understand it the main difference is that .logos4 is smaller than the old format because the Libronix format contained an index for that book. I don't think there are any performance differences other than the size difference.

I think I read that the older format was XML based, and the L4 format is binary. If so, then the new would be smaller, but should also give improved performance for fetching the contents.
Maybe too, the new format supports some kinds of tagging that the older format never supported. To add into an L3 file would also require a program change to the L3 application, unless its already designed to skip things it does not know about. I.E. Ignore rather than crash or give errors.
If the index and searching is external as Kevin commented, then that aspect would not care what format your files are.
