Snow Leopard sporadic pauses

I have posted about my install problems for several Alpha cycles but as of A25 my Snow Leopard install is still unusable. I have posted logs to no avail. It is clear this isn't affecting everyone but I would really like to start using A25 on this machine instead of Parallels. Anyone have suggestions on how I might make this install work? Is it worth a complete uninstall, redownload, and reindex? I don't mind the effort but don't want to go through it if it won't help. Any other thoughts?

    Hi Robert

I have had a look through your previous posts. The last log posted seemed only to contain the 'index log'.

Could you please, once again, give us a description of the problem and upload a complete set of logs as per the instructions at the top of the forum posts.

I am sure that between us we will be able to get to the bottom of the problem and I am pretty sure that the uninstall, re-download route won't be necessary.

If you have the time though, or want to leave it over night, it just might be worth rebuilding the index.

Also check that any synchronisation between your personalised layouts, notes, clippings, etc between the Mac and the PC have completed successfully.

I suspect a sync problem. Try "Set use internet to No" from the command bar and see it that works around the problem for now.

Sorry for the lack of information in the first post. I have posted all over the place because I haven't been too worried about fixing this installation because I have done most of my work from home in the Windows Beta's. With the most recent Mac Alphas progressing so well I decided to change that this week but have had an issue where every time I scroll a commentary the program grinds to a halt and I get spinning beach ball. It will stall out anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes on every attempt to scroll. That obviously makes it challenging.I did turn off the internet as Thomas suggested and this seems to have changed the behavior dramatically.

Thomas, if this is indeed the problem is there anything I can do to fix it other than keeping the internet off to prevent syncing?

    Thanks all.
