Can we get Greater Men down to $12 by Fri deadline?

This great 3100 page, 6 volume set of Greater Men and Women of the Bible is very close to dropping from $15 to $12.
Deadline for ordering before it goes to $99.95 is noon Friday, 7/16

Yes, guys, go for it. You will buy it anyway, so why pay $99 if you can have it for $12?

I am trying. I am at 12 dollars below my maximum. I am really glad this is going gold.

Be advised that you will get it only if enough other people order at $15 to lower the price. If enough orders are not placed by noon Friday, only those who bid $15 will receive the set.
If enough additional CP bids come in at $15 before Friday noon, the price can drop to $12 for everyone.

Actually, it should read if enough bids come in at $12 or higher - a $12 bid does help get the $12 price; however, the bidder will not get the book if it eventually goes for $15.

I just talked my son and daughter to bid on that resources at $15.
Both of them did (I am paying for that anyway).
It is so close... it touches the line already ...

Spending $30 to save $3? Now where in our society does that sound familiar?

Hey Philip, be nice [;)]
I just wanted them not to be short of that great value for THAT price. [:)]
P.S. plus, of course, I did it also for the rest of the mankind... to be able to get it for $12 [H]

It could even go as low as $9. But even at $12 this resource is a steal! I can't wait either. Hope it doesn't end up as one of those other 100+ "under contract" resources in my Pre-Pubs basket for months (some have been there for years).

Already at $9 and I decided to jump in even though I don't really need it. At that price one can afford to think it may be useful & decide later!

The way I see it, for something this cheap, one only needs to use it a few times, and get something useful from it, to make it pay its keep!
I love how often a full-Library Search turns up some answer, in a resource I don't remember having even opened before, or did not really know I had.
One could suggest I have too many books, or maybe thats the point of having so many. And a good search tool of course.

Couldn't agree more (that you have too many books[:D]).

At this price point it is almost irresponsible not to bid on this resource--considering that it is a Hastings resource, I would say that it definitely crosses that line. Just think, if it hits six bucks, that would be $1 per volume.
Considering the thousands I have invested in Logos, this deal just makes me smile...

This is my first experience with community pricing and do not really
understand how it works. But, I love the $9.00 figure!0 -

Too many books is an oxymoron! Like having too much fun.
Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

This is a true example of a community at work. Together we've gotten it down to $9. Can we make it to $6 by tomorrow? Just 14 hours left!

I had forgotten. But now I remember. Yes, for US$1.
Once its ready, it will be easier to find the $1 to pay for it, than the time to actually read it ... [:)]

Almost 40 years ago, I remember Wilbur Smith wrote about his huge library. He said that people frequently asked if he had read them all. He said that the great thing about a huge library was that you always had new things to read. [:)]

I've posted this quote before, but in case you haven't seen it, it pretty much sums up my feelings about having a large library with many unread books in it:
"Those who aspire to the status of cultured individuals visit bookstores with trepidation, overwhelmed by the immensity of all they have not read. They buy something that they've been told is good, make an unsuccessful attempt to read it, and when they have accumulated half a dozen unread books, feel so bad that they are afraid to buy more. In contrast, the truly cultured are capable of owning thousands of unread books without losing their composure or their desire for more."

One never knows when they will need a resource that is in their library. The beauty of a Logos library title is that it can be found instantly.
I hope that other Hastings CP titles soon follow this bargain spree.
