It works great. LogMeIn costs only about 24 $ and the PC or Mac Desktop version is free.
Just keep your PC on or in standby and you can work on it using your iPad wherever you are...
It takes full control over your PC.

I've been doing the same with my iPhone and iTeleport. [:D] Works over the internet either from a wifi spot or 3G (though the latter is a little slower to respond). I've even used it over Edge but that was just too slow to get a reasonable screen redraw.

You can do the same with VNC as well, I use the lite version so it doesn't cost me a cent but still have sufficient capability. Works over wifi or 3G

I really like how iTeleport auto-configures via Google accounts. I have been able to reach my MacBook Pro when it was in a hotel room, and still reach my Mac Pro in my office. It has worked flawlessly for a while for me, and I'm quite impressed with it!

I like using my iPad as a portable second monitor for Logos, to increase layout capabilities. I use Air-Display. Below is my main layout, and then my second monitor on iPad (for a quick glance at things I don't want taking up layout space on the Laptop)
P.S. Normally I have the Text Comparison linked to the main passage I'm looking at, I must of deactivated it just before I took this screen shot.

Wow! I just tried this with VPN. It cost me $6 for the full version and it works great. I can control the full power of L4 from my iPad. This is very cool.

Why pay for an app to do this when you can get one, Teamviewer, for free?

I didn't see that one and had already purchased vpn. Incould have got a free one from them too but the paid version had some additional features that made it more useful. I have been noutside on the porch for the past few hours using l4 and communing with God. This is a great blessing to me. Thank you all for turning my attention to this.
