Logos,
Why the IVP Collection is not available to download?
I think this is down to the arrangement with the publisher. Some titles can only be purchased on CD ROM.
Logos, Why the IVP Collection is not available to download?
It works something like this.
IVP (or any publisher) wants a retail boxed product of their resources, in Libronix format. They contract with Logos to produce the work, then IVP publishes it and distributes it among the retail and discount markets.
In this case even though the product is in Libronix format, Logos is only a reseller of the completed item.
The cool thing happens when the publisher allows Logos to break up the collection, and sell the parts individually as downloads, (as in the case of AMG.) While the best price is still obtained by purchasing the collection, separate titles can be purchased by those not needing all the resources.
The IVP is one collection it would not make sense to break up.
From the beginning it was designed as a kind of stand alone package with tight keylinked integration between the various pocket dictionaries and the more weighty tomes within the collection. For serious pastoral, student, or lay use it's stunningly good value. I've never regretting shelling hard cash for this one, and I've made use of every single volume volume at different times, which is more than I can say for a number of the odds from Logos that clutter my Libronix library.

Sam,
If you feel some titles are cluttering your library (like some PBB titles do mine) can't you just delete the resources so you don't have to look at them?
I agree the IVP library should be kept intact. It is so well done, ....a complete "toolbox" for a great price.
I don't know if Romulo de Amorim Correa (O/P) was asking for it to be broken up, just be made available by download. It would be nice for all products to be downloadable. Our overseas friends could save a fortune on shipping costs and time waiting for an uncertain delivery. (Not all customs agents appreciate Christian material being imported.) But alas, I figure the boxed products are marketed that way for their publishers to maintain stricter control over their product.

hei brothers,
I just would like to have the option to download.
Like Matthew said, I am one the overseas friends and it is verycomplicate to import anything, but books from te USA.
So, Logos could keep the packet and give the option to buy it with thedownload.
Thanks
I live in Russia and the IVP collection was shipped to my address without problems.
hi timothy,
I live in Brazil. The problem for me is not the shipping. But everything, but books, imported to Brazil, that costs more than USD 50,00, including the shipping cost, has to pay 60% of the amount of taxes. It is too much for me. It is unnecessary if I could buy it without to have the CD.
There are so many others collections in logos that we can download. Look at the top 10 download list of products. Only two of then is not a collection.
I really don't understand what difference does it make for logos or for IVP to put this collection available in download option.
Anyway thanks for the comments brothers,
God bless you all.
P.S I don't have problems with payment plan. Brazil is on the logos list. This was the only way I could buy THE ANCHOR BIBLE DICTIONARY.
