Does it give an error, or does the download just stop? Is it downloading from within Logos (doing an update) or are you trying to download it directly from the website?

If you haven't tried downloading from the website, grab it at http://www.logos.com/logos4mac and see if it will finish downloading. I've just tried the link and it's working. That link will always download the latest Mac version. When you install it, it will start a new installation or upgrade your current version.

I cannot get it to update from Logos home page command (update now)...doesn't work.  I usually click on the link you provided to update since mine does not seem to automatically update(yes I have those specs selected in the 'preferences' area).  However, it starts downloading and then gets slower and slower and finally stops saying, "download failed to mount".  Right now it says it will take 32 minutes to finish and I have AT&T's medium connection, which is fairly fast.  It's only downloading at 25Kb/sec.  Sometimes it will speed up and then slow down, but in the last two days it has just failed to mount.

Now it appears to have completed the 70.9 MB of download but continues to download.  It's up to 86MB of 70.9MB.

It's continuing to update.  Now it is 96MB of 70.9MB.  I used the link you provided for updates.

It went to 103 MB of 70.9 and then gave the message "Mounting failed".

    Dave,

Can you post your logs? See the FAQ link in my signature, item #6 for info on how to do that.

    Thanks,

I downloaded the nlog.cofig, but when I double click on it, it says Safari cannot open it because there is no program that will open it.

1 - I downloaded the link you provided..8171.nlog.config  When I try to open it after download it won't allow it open, saying there is no program in safari to open it.

2- Also, my "command bar' doesn't seem to be working.  I type "update now" and nothing happens.

3- Furthermore, when I open Logos 4 (Mac)  the blue logos button immediately comes on and a message says it is downloading XX mb of material.  It stays on for a few seconds and then the icon disappears and no downloads or indexing is taking place.  I haven't indexed for a long time.  The automatic updates are not working either and haven't since about A-16 of so.

4- I guess I have a few problems.  I haven't mentioned them before, thinking the next Alpha series would take care of it.

    David,

As of about Alpha 17 or 18, downloading and installing the nlog.config is no longer necessary.

2- Also, my "command bar' doesn't seem to be working.  I type "update now" and nothing happens.

Right now, there's no indication in the UI that work is happening. We're planning on fixing that, just haven't gotten their yet.

Sounds like what's happening is that your Indexer is crashing. The indexer handles downloading of resources and indexing, as well as discovering resources on your system and adding them to your library. I think your Indexer.log in /Users/<your_user_id>/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Logging as well as your Logos4.log in that folder would be very helpful. If you could attach them to this thread, we'll take a look.

4- I guess I have a few problems.  I haven't mentioned them before, thinking the next Alpha series would take care of it.

Sometimes problems will go away when an new Alpha is released, but only if someone else has reported them. Don't be bashful about reporting bugs, it helps us track down issues that we haven't seen in development and they'll get fixed faster.

    Thanks,
