Congratulations Thomas, and congratulations on your non-traditional wedding date. I like it.
I'll celebrate it by re-indexing my library tonight. Hopefully.

It would be great with an "automatic install" option in the settings. Go to bed and wake up with an new and re-indexed install. [|-)]

Yes, that would be nice. I just thought the update is already here, my Logos start said it is preparing my Library, but it was just changing the homepage for the new day (it is just after midnight) [:(]
Have a good night, see you tomorrow.

In the other direction from being ready, how do keep my computer from updating to B4?
If I have L4 set to "Use Internet: No", will it still autoupdate to B4? Will it wait until I turn on the internet functions?
We need to have access to the computer this evening and I am refraining from starting L4 since last time it auto updated and made the computer useless for the rest of the day.
Thank you,
Rob

If "Use Internet" is set to "No", you shouldn't see any downloads. (If you do, let us know; it's a bug, and we'll fix it in Beta 5... [:)])

Not us... sorry, we ran into some last-minute bugs today and couldn't post Beta 4. All the bugs (that I know of) are now fixed, so we should be able to release it tomorrow morning (PDT).

I'm glad to see that you aren't anxious. If you had been, you probably would have written thata at 6:30 (or 5:30?).

I was tempted...its 10:50 here.

So I should just wear out the F5 button on the Forum root instead?

Well, it's midnight here on the other side of the world and B4 out-waited me. I'm off to bed, perhaps in the morning when I wake up.

That was my plan until Bradley or Bob give me their home phone number. I'll take anyone from Logos, for that matter :-) Of course if Bob is interested in moving operations out here to the east cost I can set him up in our basement. We are real close to NY city [;)] Then I wouldn't have to wait so long.

I guess that means you're on the right coast (as opposed to the left coast) -- or would that be "write" or even "wright?".

I'd be rigging up a lever, string, and rock sort of thing to automatically hit F5 while I slept!

Was it for the first time you opened Logos4 today? It did the same to me after midnight as it changed the HomePage content. Might be this.

You can check the News Feed at https://clientservices.logos.com/update/v1/feed/logos4/beta.xml
That will let you know if the next beta has dropped. I think this is where L4 looks... so why can't we look too? [;)]

Never saw this before. Hope it's protected from non-beta users (the https tells me it probably is).
Note that if you put this into an RSS feed clicking any article name will launch the setup file. Most people won't want to do that, except for the latest update. It's likely that we'll see the update notification here almost as soon, if not before we see it in the above location--unless your RSS feed refreshes every few minutes.
Just my opinion, of course.

https is encrypted. not restricted.
I.E. the data stream isn't readable by another person, but username and password are not required for that.
User Authentication (userid/password) is separate function of a web server and not related to HTTPS.
