    "The alpha is dead, long live the beta!"

    Not at all, Tom. Just this is a significant milestone and I felt that I wanted to mark the passing of the Alphas.


    Why not just exclaim:

    "The alpha is dead, long live the beta!"

    Of course, I'm glad we've moved on to the Beta phase of development. It's just that I wanted to express my appreciation of what the Alphas had done for me.
