Bible Word Study ring question

Yes, I am an MVP. And I don't know this answer. WHY does this ring show lose/heart/grow/weary all as separate words, when in actuality the ESV either has "lose heart" or "grow weary." If I click on "grow" I get Gal 6:9, "let us not grow weary". If I click on "weary" I get 2 Thess 3:13, "do not grow weary." In both cases, both words are used. Why not translate the word from Greek into "grow weary" (one part of ring) and "lose heart" (other part of ring)?
why are not "grow" and "weary" in teh above verse not both highlighted. both translate one Greek word.

A valid question. For the NKJV Gal 6:9 shows on the word ring as "Grow Weary" and 2 Th 3:13 as "weary". both places the word is translated Grow Weary.
I will join you as an ignorant MVP.

Well, here's a clue. In the RI panel for Gal 6:9, the Greek appears under the word "grow" with an arrow from "weary":
In 2 Th 3:13, the Greek appears under the word "weary" with an arrow from "grow":
It means those two verses were reverse-interlinearized differently.
The same thing goes for the "lose heart" examples. In Eph 3:13, the Greek is under "heart" with an arrow from "lose" and in Lk 18:1, 2 Cor 4:1, and 2 Cor 4:16, it's the other way around.
It sounds like a bug or inconsistency in the RI encoding to me. I don't know much Greek but it seems to me those are identical constructs and translations. The email address to report such issues is revint (at) logos (dot) com. Dan, would you do the honors since you found this oddity? Include a link to this thread for more info.

yes, Rosie, thank you. Your investigation analysis is spot on, I think. I will report it and see what they say.

Thanks. Incidentally, this does point to a possible avenue of proofing that might not have been thoroughly done for the RI's, which is to check all Greek words that are translated with multiple English words (the ones where those arrows are used) to see that they are encoded consistently throughout the RI. I imagine that is a task that could/should be automated, not left up to us beta testers to do it or to randomly stumble upon the inconsistencies. But the fact that you found one which wasn't done correctly tells me they didn't do a thorough job of checking this, and leaves it open that there might be other problems like this elsewhere...

The forum has many threads revealing this type of inconsistency (I'm sure we don't need to dig them out for the benefit of Logos!).

Well, then, I guess they are aware of it now!

yes, Dave, thank you. You might note Rosie suggested the same thing above, and I replied letting her know I would do that. And I have. [:)] As always, you guys are amazing and on the ball with the forums. Your help is invaluable.
