Request for "Blank" Explorer

I can't get Explorer to stay "blank." It always wants to "follow." I could uncheck follow, and from thereon it will not follow. But what I'm wanting to do is make Explorer "blank," so no reference shows up at all. That way when I save my customized layout, it doesn't automatically start looking up a reference when I load my layout.

I don't know how to do exactly what you ask, but I can get close to what you want to accomplish:
If you collapse all the sections in Explorer, and unselect "Follow" before saving your layout, it will not start looking anything up until you click on the section in Explorer to 'explore.' The last Bible passage will still be entered, but you L4 won't actually start looking up any information until you ask it to (by expanding the section you're interested in). When you're ready to explore, input your reference and expand the section(s) you want.
Hope this helps.

I didn't think of that, that's a good work around. It still would be nice to be able to have everything expanded but blank until I enter a passage in it.
