Logos on iPad question
I'm considering purchasing an iPad. A friend of mind brought his into my office and I was seriously impressed. I've since learned that over 4,000 resources are available for the iPad so I'm assuming most of my resources will beavailable to me on the iPad. My question is about speed and battery life. Can someone who owns an iPad comment on how fast it is and the typical battery life you are experiencing. Any quirks or irritants I should expect? Thanks for any and all comments.

I get about 10 hours on mine. Generally it is pretty snappy (app dependent). The Logos app needs some optimizing as it isn't one of the faster apps though I'm expecting this will change over time.

I personally love my iPad. As far as personal bible reading/reading books it's the only thing I use.
The battery life on it is outstanding! I can get a full 10 hours of watching videos (which means I get quite a bit extra doing everyday tasks/using Logos).
I don't think speed will be an issue (unless you have a poor internet connection). The iPad is extremely fast and if I'm honest I actually sigh when I have to use my laptop for something. It just "feels" better to use the iPad for web surfing/email/etc. Your opinion/experience might be different but I absolutely love mine!

To confirm how many resources will be available to you go to http://library.logos.com/?beta=true I played around with the IPAD in the Apple store and was very satisfied. It was much snappier then my 1st gen Ipod Touch.

From my perspective, the iPad is a wonderful experience for interacting with information. I call it the most personal, intimate, and immersive experience available today.
Logos on the iPad is a great reading expeience, and some of the study tools are decent, but I'm looking forward to them improving (perhaps even more as Logos 4 Mac goes GA?).
My view? You just can't lose with the iPad, and I think that there will be no real competitors or the iPad experience for quite some time to come.

I have to agree. I love my iPad. There are times when I want more tools that Logos for iPad offers and I use L4 to solve that problem. My wife runs a home daycare so sometimes it can get a little to noisy to study inside the house. I recently purchased an app that allows me to use my iPad as a remote control for my desktop unit. Now, I can go outside (anywhere within WiFi range) and use L4 from the iPad. Granted it's not as slick as using the desktop itselt. But it's pretty nice none the less. I have a quiet shady spot outside and get the full power of L4 (limited to one screen on the iPad). Even using the iPad this way doesn't produce as much delay as you might think.
Logos for iPad is very responsive. The iPad itselt if really responsive. Great for video, photos, reading, Internet, email, and much more. I get about 10 hours of batter time too. Gotta love this thing.
