I'd love to see the reading plan - this is the first I've heard of it, but it sounds like a great idea.
ESV 40 (big picture) day reading plan

Anyone had any experience setting up a reading plan to follow the 40 day ESV big picture reading plan?
EDIT:
Maybe I should clarify as the reading plan doesn't appear in every version of the ESV.
On page X of the ESV life discovery Bible (paper back) there is a 40 day reading plan that introduces the "big picture". It nice in that it provides a solid overall look at what God has done, is doing and will do on this side of "time".
Anyway, I would like to give it a spin in L4 but it's beyond me on how to set it up. I had a look at the wiki but the examples I saw didn't help.

There is no way to directly create a custom reading plan with Logos 4 like this one that will match exactly. This is because Logos automatically attempts to the even out the number of verses read each day. You can get a fairly close approximate though to this plan.
I am assuming you know how to begin setting up a reading plan given you have looked at the wiki examples. To save you (or anyone who wants to try this retyping all the entries you can copy and paste the following line into the reading plan:
Gen1-2;Gen3;Gen15,17:15-27;Gen21:1-7,Gen22;Ex3-4;Ex20;Joshua1;1Sam16-17;1King3,8:1-9:9;1King18;2King25;Daniel2-3;Ezra3;Isa9,53,61;Luke1-2;John1:1-18;Matt4:14-44;Matt5-6;John3;John5;John11;John15;John17;Matthew26-27;John20;Luke24;Acts2;Acts9;Acts16;Acts26;Rom3;Rom7-8;1Cor13;1Cor15;Gal5;Eph6;Phil1:18-2:18;Col3:1-17;Jam1;Rev 21-22
Take a look at the screen shot below. Double click on it to open it in a larger view. It will show you were to past the above line and also compares the logos automatically created plan to the set plan. As you can see there is some slight differences, but you get to read all of the set readings over the 40 day period.
If you wanted the references to be exactly the same the only way to do it would be to put each of the readings into a note file and work the plan from there, by simply click on each link each day, and putting some sort of check mark next to each one as you complete the reading.

I guess my solution wasn't that far from what you both have provided here as I set it up as 40 sessions. I thought maybe I was missing some special script method...
Andrew, The note method might be a better way to manage the breaks and stick to the 40 days. Thanks.
Hard coded plans is a great idea. Thanks for adding it to the list Thomas.
A request for better editing method might be in order... though it probably has already been requested.
