Is there a resource in L4 that summarize all the parts of the Law of Moses? I know it’s scattered through out several books. I am doing a study on the Old Covenant and it sure would help if I could narrow down to just one source.
Thanks
Hi Sam
The "Dictionary of the Old Testament: Pentatuech" (part of the "IVP Dictionary of the Old Testament bundle" - http://www.logos.com/products/details/4714) has a useful section on Law at logosres:dotpentch;ref=Page.p_497;off=3535.
It looks at it as:
“Law” in the OT is the usual translation of Hebrew tôrâ, but as is often the case with important words, the equation is not exact. The English concept of law is narrower than that represented by tôrâ, and discussion of both terms is complicated by the fact that neither can be confined to a single meaning. It is therefore important to seek to define these key terms as a preliminary to understanding the pentateuchal concept of law. To that end, this article will explore the relationship between law and tôrâ, especially in its distinctive literary, historical and theological aspects.
1. What Is Tôrâ?
2. Law and Its Historical Development
3. Theological Issues
4. The Purpose of Tôrâ
5. Interpretation of Tôrâ
I don't know whether this will provide the level of detail you want.
Graham

Of hand I know of this resource but it is three volumes so not sure if this is a bit more than what you need at this point.

There are resouces that focus on the ten commandments and their application today, but not sure if they are too narrow for what you are needing.

You might even find surveys or introductions to the pentateuch help you out. Take a look and see if you have any in your library.
Also take 10 mins and read the following article on reading deuteronomy. http://www.logos.com/nationalbibleweek/biblestudy/80
Deuteronomy essentially contains three addresses to the second generation of Israelites post exodus from Egypt as the were on the verge of entering the promised land. So it is if you like a commentary on everthing that has proceeded before from the time of the Exodus until that point so resources dealing specifically with Deuteronomy might also be a worthwile starting point.

Good suggestion Graham, Dictionary articles are worth taking a look at also Sam.
Elon, Menachem. Jewish Law : History, Sources, Principles = Ha-Mishpat Ha-Ivri. A Philip and Muriel Berman ed. Philadelphia: Jewish Publication Society, 1994. http://www.logos.com/products/details/3048 is an excellent resource of four volumes and is included in the Logos Portfolio package. Alone it is $299.95 so I am not sure if this is more in depth than what you are looking for.
You might find the reading lists and references at http://topics.logos.com/Law helpful.
To the individual who updated the topics.logos.com wiki. The structure of the topics section is such that it is not necessary to add links to the alternative labels. These are used primarily in searches and will pop up as options to view anyway. In the top portion, if you wish to provide these cross-links it is more appropriate to do it in the web links section.
There is also an advantage in suggesting that people access the wiki through the searches and reading lists of Logos. However, I am delighted to see you utilizing the topics wiki and being comfortable updating it. The only reason I am playing a bit of the "watchdog" role is to ensure that people who are just beginning to use the wiki will see clean examples that encourage them to use and update as well. Thank you for your participation.
I just modified the entry "Law" to keep all the information that you have added and to keep the standard. You're adding a lot of useful information. Thank you.
it is not necessary to add links to the alternative labels
Thank you MJ.
All previous entries have now been changed to the format you demonstrated.
