Logos 4 is available (sorta) on Android on iPhone

I just wanted to report that I installed LogMeIn Ignition on my android phone (MyTouch Slide from TMobile) and it works great for using the complete L4 software on your mobile phone.
You can make a layout designed for the screen and have side by side reading. Visual filters work. Pray list works. Note taking works. I haven't figured out how to highlight yet. Pretty much everythikng works, although complicated movements with the mouse are tough to pull off.
The $30 for the LogMeIn software is well worth it just for getting to use your L4 software on your phone.

Quite a clever workaround! Thanks for this, it's of considerable interest to me (planning on Android for my next phone).

This is great. I am now basically running Logos from my phone. Runs very quickly. There is little I haven't been able to do (diagramming is too tedious to be useful). But highlighting is easy once you figure out how to select text. Notetaking is a snap. The phone just functions as the screen and the mouse and my home computer does all the work so its super fast.

It would be nice to hear someone from the Logos team weigh in on this. Have y'all found this to work pretty well? Do we need to buy this app or are you going to let us know your plans to develop an app for Droid?

This sounds interesting. (My phone is an older Nokia, so cant do much, but I have the free KJV on Olive Tree is all).
For your LogMeIn solution, I would love to hear back on what traffic-usage is while doing this.
At least here in New Zealand, traffic on mobile data plans are very expensive, so the solution you are doing here would be a problem except for some of the highest plans when they come with maybe 500 MB for a month. There might be some that go to 1 or 2 GB with an iPhone now, but we are talking Android here.
For a native iPhone app with the resources local to the iPhone, only searches and such travel as over-the-air data. For the LogMeIn solution here, all data must travel over the connection.
(Sometimes I long to live somewhere with unlimited traffic plans)

Did you see this quote from Bob Pritchett from last Saturday: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/14831/158338.aspx#158338?
I think that's the best they can tell you right now.

I'd be interested in knowing the amount of data transferred while operating Logos this way. Is it in the single, double, or triple MB range in doing some things you do all the time? If you use Logos this way for 30 minutes, what sort of data transfer consumption is involved?

I haven't tracked data usage and I don't know how to. I suspect it would be pretty data intensive as it doesn't work well unless I'm on 3G or wifi. But if I have 3G or wifi it works great for hours (as long as battery doesn't die).
I have unlimited mobile internet though

I have an Archos 70 Internet Tablet 250GB, running Android 2.2 Froyo.
I'm looking for a powerful Bible app. Is there anything for the Android yet ....

Logos has announced an Android app is in the works, but no mention of a timeline for its release. You can use biblia.com in a web-browser for some basic study.

I actually recommend library.logos.com as your method of currently studying from your Android app.
As http://www.logos.com/mobile/android says, the app is in the works, but nothing is released yet.

I can affirm that the Logmein Ignition app is very functional and is a great solution for you to use your tablet to run Logos4 today.

Logos does not function on the nook natively.

Forum http://community.logos.com/forums/t/26788.aspx has Nook Color discussion: Biblia.com is an option.
