When I hover over one of my commentary tabs on my PC Logos 4, a preview popup of the resource information appears. This doesn't happen on Logos 4 Mac b7. Am I missing some setting I need to enable, and if so, what is it?

Yes, that popup, and the right-click context menu that goes with it are missing right now on Mac. Personally, I'd like to see them get into the 4.0 gold release. I'll create a bug in our bug tracker.
Todd's screenshot is exactly what is missing when using the Mac platform. It would be super handy to have, as I'm flipping through about 20 commentaries, and can't tell which is which, unless I use the info button once the commentary is selected. Gets the job done, but is much slower. Thanks for helping me describe the issue, and I'll look forward to a solution when one becomes available.
