Here's some good news, at least if you are Windows 7 users (not sure if a comparable update is available for Vista, but it's worth checking): http://community.logos.com/forums/p/16042/141059.aspx#141059
I installed all the Windows updates (required, important, optional) available to me, and none of them helped. I checked my update logs and none of them are the Synaptics one of which Steven is speaking. When I run Windows update that particular update just doesn't come up.
Im running Windows 7 64bit, Synaptics Touchpad V7.2

Did you try going to the link that was in the screenshot Steven posted? http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=20360387
Since I don't have a Synaptics touchpad, that link only goes to a generic Windows support page for me, but it might work for you.
Otherwise try Googling synaptics touchpad driver update manufacturer (where you substitute for manufacturer the name of the manufacturer of your laptop -- e.g. Dell, Asus, HP, etc. -- as the last search term), and see if you can find a recent (May or June 2010) driver update on your manufacturer's website. Another way to search for it would be synaptics touchpad driver update site:manufacter.com (where the bit after site: is your manufacturer's actual website address which might not be simply their name; you'd have to Google it to find it first to be sure).
If you can't find a new driver specific to your manufacturer anywhere, try the generic Synaptics driver (but note the caution on that site about using generic drivers): http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers
Folks, I've spent the last hour also searching for this update/driver to solve the synaptics touchpad problem on my Dell. Hate that Logos doesn't scroll and gotta fix this!
Synaptics most recent driver on their site appears to be 14.0.3. This is a 2009 driver, and I already have it.
Dell is showing Synaptics driver at 14.0.2 as their newest custom version. It is dated 27 Dec 2009.
Google searches haven't helped me, and that winqual.microsoft.com link doesn't work.
Any further help on finding this 2010 synaptics update that seems to solve the scrolling problem! "good news" isn't great if you can't find the fix!
Thanks for the help.

Chris, it was mentioned in the thread that the first post in this thread linked to that a Windows update fixed the Synaptics problem. Did you get the Windows update that was referred to in that post? The post a couple down from that one had a screenshot that gave more info about it and included this URL: http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=20360387
Try going there and see if there's a Windows update for you. And in general make sure you have downloaded and installed all the available Windows updates.
I, too, have Dell's most current vision and have even tried the update from Syanptics. Still no scrolling here.
The generic Synaptics driver did not work for me. The DELL driver dated 04/22/2010 and the number of the series: 15.0.18.0 works perfect. You can look at the following thread on the subject.
