Reverse interlinear omissions

I noticed a mistake in the NAS interlinear last night in 1 Thess. 2:11 and sent off an email to Logos. Then I thought of Acts 1:16 and looked and sure enough ανδρες in omitted in the NAS interlinear. Then I thought of the NKJV interlinear back in 1 Thess. 2:11 and sure enough an υμας is left out. My question is that I am guessing that Logos is creating these interlinears, and do we the users need them to be perfect? Do all these omissions need to be reported?

I don't know Greek, so I can't assess how perfect or not perfect the interlinears are with the mistakes you're reporting, but I assume they are real mistakes, and yes, as a user, I'd want the interlinears to be perfect. Yes, Logos is creating them. If you thought of these other cases easily from just the first one that you noticed, then perhaps you could describe the general problem (which would cover all such cases) in an email to Logos so that you don't have to report each case individually. But otherwise, yes, for every mistake you find, do please report it. Those of us who don't know Greek will thank you for helping make our reverse interlinears more accurate!

After checking my Greek versions of 1 Thess. 2:11 I notice variations between Textus Receptus and the "critical text" in that verse. It is likely that what you see is not a mistake but a reflection of those textual variations. Regarding Act 1:16 I don't find the omission you describe in my NA27 interlinear (sorry, here's NAS)

The difference is that you must be using Mac and Windows is different. Here is a screen shot. In 1 Thess. 2:11 notice that the greek word υμας below "we" is the second person pronoun and not a first person pronoun as would be required by "we". ( unless I have forgot some exception to the rule ). Furthermore if you count the number of times υμας occurs in NKJV & in the textus receptus you should notice one missing unless Mac is different than Windows. The problem probably came in because the Nas followed the verse division of KJV and not the NA27 between verses 11 and 12. I don't have access to a Mac so I can't check what you are seeing.

Just to add a comment.....I am on a Windows 7 machine using beta 9 and I get Acts 1 16 to show correctly....it has a greek word in front. Concerning the Thess passage...I also show 2nd person plural....

William, try clicking "Bible text only" in your visual filters drop down window and see if ανδρες doesn't disappear. I think that is the culprit!

Jerry, it's Fernando. You are right, I clicked the Bible Text Only button in the Mac version and ἄνδρες disappeared... Good job, mystery solved...
