As an active-working pastor, I find that both L3 and L4 does not save time. The reason is, with all the information contained in so many resources, I want to just keep studying and keep studying. In the end, I always feel that the best I have done is "scratched-the-surface" on studying any given passage or topic. Thus, I would like to start this thread with the following goals in mind:
1. That folks with good exegetical skills will provide suggestions for strategies to get the most out of L4 with the somewhat limited time busy pastors have in preparing both lessons and sermons.
2. Recommended lay-outs for getting the most out of L4 in light of the time constraints on busy pastors.
3. Technical advise on tools and settings that will help make study time as productive and efficient as possible.
4. The creation of more step-by-step videos by Logos staff and others (like Mark Barnes) that serve as great tutorials.
5. Advise on building "collections" and how to effectively use them.
The main thing is for those "in-the-know" provide this as a forum for those of us who do not have the time we would like to explore the vast potential of L4. I.E., to give us the wisdom and fruits of YOUR labors. I pray God will use this forum post to be a blessing to multitudes of us who must work with limited time-constraints concerning our study time. Looking forward to receiving lots of useful advise and tips that will help us all deal with and manage the information-overload that L4 provides. Blessings to all, Steve Spencer
