Is there any visual indication as to which column is the active one?
Hi Lloy
Not that I can see. But then the concept of the active panel is a little vague on the mac. And columns, boxes or windows are a user preference. Let's call the discrete areas in the 'Logos preferred box' panels for the sake of clarity.
I right click on a word in my bible panel a menu window opens; I move my mouse over the adjacent commentary panel and run my finger down the mouse surface (it is a magic mouse) and the commentary panel scrolls; I move the pointer over the still opened menu window form the bible panel and select an option with a single click.
To all intents and purposes the active window is the one that my pointer is over at the time I make a demand.
However the exception is the floating panels that we have on other monitors or in other spaces - these do need an initial focus click to activate them- in these cases the active window can be seen by the colour of the window header bar.

I was was not sure of pane, panel, column, window, etc...
If if have a Bible linked to a commentary and click in the commentary, I often forget that I am there, and when I want to scroll one verse in the Bible (with the curser keys), the commentary will jump to the next passage (depending on how it is divided) and the Bible will follow.
Neither was I and I had to edit my reply three times to make sure that I was using the right terminology.

I understand that that must be a frustration -
My way of working is to use the Mouse whenever possible so I almost never touch the keyboard while using Logos. If they had a decent picker for entering bible references I could almost dispense with it altogether. Sorry I can't be of help.
I have the same question. There are times when it is helpful to know which window/column is active. I like to scroll with the arrow keys too.
No, but there should be. The Windows version has a shadow around the active window, but you need sharp eyes to see it. Logos needs to provide an enhanced visual feedback for the active panel in both versions.
Yes, it's on our TO-DO list to check off before the final release.
Neat! Please make the indicator more prominent than the Windows version.
