Since I'm unable to find a method of doing so myself, I request the powers that be please delete / remove my account from this forum.
Thank you
Sandy,
Customer Service probably won't read this thread until Monday. I do not know who the moderator(s) are that do have that capability so I can't point you there. But I have discovered a forum software snafu that might ive you temporary satisfaction to a limited degree. It probably is not worth the trouble but:
If you change your email in your personal profile, it resets your post count to zero. It does not remove previous posts from the public forum but it does make them harder to find. I have never tried changing my forum alias but that might be an option.
I wonder if there is something that can be done to make you feel better about Logos, the forum and your part in it. Others may not view this decision as seriously as I think it is. Years ago a young fellow named Blair Newman tried to erase his whole online persona before leaving this life. Many friends and acquaintances were very sad. Although we couldn't bring Blair back, an effort was launched to restore as much of his legacy to the online community. The point I am making is: YOU matter! Please take a step back from the situation and do nothing for the next few days. There are a lot of like minded people on the forums with you. I'm sure others would recommend the same.
edit: the incident surrounding Blair had no connection to the Logos community or forums and preceded this venue by many years. The principle is the same tho'.

Hi Sandy,
I'd echo Matthew... if we've offered hurt, we ask forgiveness... But you matter.
Sandy
What is the problem? Can I help?
Thank you each for your concerns. Rest assured there is no problem other than I no longer wish to be associated with this particuar forae.
My decision therefore stands and for a second time request that my account to be removed.
Go in peace, Sandy. I wish you the best.
Because today is :Labor Day holiday, I assume Logos is closed for business. This thread had fallen down the list and was probably missed by Logos reps (at least the ones who have power to delete accounts.) I will try to remember to bump this thread back to the top Tuesday morning. You may have to send an email request customerservice@logos.com
Meanwhile, I will forward your request.
Best wishes.

That was my assumption leading up to today as well, but it turns out to be incorrect:
Customer Service, or actually the web developers whom CS will contact for you, are the only people that can delete your forum account. In the meantime you can remove all the info from your profile and change your display name to something nobody would ever associate with you and then just never log in to the account again and thus maintain your online privacy, never to be associated with these forums again. This forum is mostly monitored by users, though. So you do need to contact Customer Service directly, as they probably won't notice this thread.
Just a heads up on what happens when I delete this account (adding it here in case there are ever any other requests for this).
Previous posts will be assigned to the anonymous user, and your forum account will be removed.
IF you revisit the forums, while logged in as your logos.com account, a new forum account will be created for you, but not associated with the previous posts.
That recreated account won't be obvious unless you decide to start posting again (which you are entirely welcome to do).
David

David, would you mind deleting my forum account too please? Thank you.
Hi
This is an old thread and David may well not see it.
Suggest you click on his name in the post above and add a comment to his profile.
