I have a layout that I use for my Bible study. How do I get this layout to come up when I type in a passage to study on the homepage? Don''t you have to name it something particular?
You can't launch a specific layout from the homepage. You can affect what shows up in the default layout by prioritization and making a "My Passage/Exegetical Guide" but you can't fire up a specific layout. You have to load a layout and then add the particular reference you want.
You can't. The homepage passage study generates it's own fixed layout.
Why does the fixed layout then look almost exactly like one I made up on my own? Did I just forget that the primary layout I use was modeled off the one Logos generates itself from the homepage?
I have no data to answer those questions. [:D]
The Logos default layout is described in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgbPwTGs7Po
Thanks for the contributions here.
I would like my preferred layout to appear when I open Logos4.
How can I do this?
Sorry if this query is too basic, as I am new to Loogos4.

Welcome to the Forums, Noel.
At the bottom left corner of the home page click "Customize". There is a check box for "Show Home Page at Startup". Uncheck this box and when you start up the system will return to the page that you closed the program on.
my preferred layout
There is no way to do this right now. As was pointed out above, you can open to the Home Page or open to your last open layout but right now you cannot specify the layout Logos opens to. Seems like a simple option to add, but it has not been added.
Scott and Mark,
many thanks.
At present when I start up the program starts with the last screen I had.
Then I go to layouts and choose my favorite workspace (Ooops layout.).
At least I know now that this is the nearest option to my preferred one.
