Stranded Information Tab

So the 'Information Tab' was up the top next to passage guide but I wanted it moved down to the bottom half of the panel.

I duly dragged it down the column and it suddenly stopped (and has stayed stopped)

You might also note the blank panel that is behind the Logos Box - this is supposed to contain a copy of the NIV with send hyperlinks here set.

If I bring this panel to the front the blue i icon and the word 'information' remain on top of it.

Jus thought that you wouldn't want to know. :-)

.... By the way...

Although restarting has sorted out the Information Tab the second 'Send hyperlinks here' window remains blank unless it is closed and re-set-up from scratch each time the layout is used.

Hi Tommy

I open Logos (spotlight) - it opens at the home page.

Click on tool bar - Layouts - open Basic Home.

'Basic Home' now opens with the Logos Box populated but the floating window (NIV - send Hyperlinks here) blank.

And it stays blank even if you click on a hyperlink.

Can't get the information panel to repeat its trick though

for some reason I seem unable to attach my layouts.db file

Hi Tommy - please find attached.

In my attempt to attach my layouts to the last post I managed to drag layouts.db onto the desktop - so when I started off this morning I had no layout to load.

Nothing daunted - my layout is quite simple - I recreated and it from scratch and it still showed the same behaviour.

The panel that you can see lurking behind the Logos Box should contain a copy of the NIV with 'Send Hyperlinks here' set.

Sorry about the delay. I had a weird rest of the day yesterday which delayed me doing much useful, and most of today catching up due to yesterday's absence. Is the floating NIV w/ hyperlinks set to be sent there come up as blank, or do you have to click on a hyperlink to make it go blank? I created the layout, and saved it. Restarted L4 and loaded it. The floating NIV did not come up blank on me, nor did it when I clicked a link in the Passage Guide. This was on the internal build. I'll try again on the public copy build I have Monday.

No problem Tommy, there are work arounds for the situation - the easiest being to close the floating window and recreate it. It is a bit of a nuisance but not world shattering.

With no Layouts, (having removed layouts.db) I created the new layout by

1 Duplicating a tab.

2 Setting 'send hyperlinks here'

3 Floating the window.

4 Saved the layout under the name (basic home)

thus far all ok.

I closed Logos and reopened to the Home Page. Went to the 'Layouts' item on the top bar and selected 'basic home' being the only custom layout available.

The program opened as you see it in the screen shot. The floating window being both blank and having no indication of being set to the NIV except having 'The New International Version' in the window header bar.

This morning I found that my two original layouts had repopulated the Layout tab and attempting to delete them left me with this permanent artefact..
