Click on the note indicator by a Scripture passage and the entire Note File is expanded. The system does scroll to the correct note. that is good.
Does that little colored box have a name?
Hi Jack
The box seems to be referred to as a "note icon" in help:

Are you referring to the note icon (indicator, marker--whatever you like) in the Note document or in the Bible? If my Note doc is set to Compact view, when I click a note icon in a Bible, the Note doc is opened and only the corresponding note is expanded. If I click on the icon in the Note doc, the color selector drops-down and that note is expanded, as it is now the active note.
Melissa you are correct, if the file is not open, but if it is open it behaves as was previously mentioned.
Yes, I see. I'll report it--thank you.
I'm happy that everyone could work together to locate the bug. From now on, I will call the little colored box the "Note Icon in the Bible Text", unless of course I am referring to a note icon located elsewhere. [8-|]
Interesting. I only tested on an open note file. It did not occur to me that the action would be different if the note file were closed. Good catch Jerry. [I]

That is not what happens to me. If it is open it looks like nothing happens. If it is closed the file opens but only to the first note in the file, not the one the note icon is attached to.
