Automatic Download of Newly Purchased Resources
I downloaded the new Matt Waymeyer collection on one of the computers. I was pleasantly surprised when upon restarting v4, there was my book (I could have done without the reinitiation of indexing the entire library for 2 resources).
Then I fired up my other laptop and it gave me the "Preparing your Library" dialog for a long time. Was this related? I cannot find the Waymeyer books in my 2nd computer. Anybody know how the process of installing newly purchased resources works in v4?
It would be a great feature to only have to download one install file (or to not have to do any at all and just have a download order automatically pushed to the software).

Isn't that the problem?

The problem is that I don't have the resource on one of my computers. I would love to have it just pushed to the Logos as part of the sync process.

If we split that up:-
1. pushing new resources to v3 would be a different model to the present one, but would be welcome provided they were pushed to the correct resource folder eg. a non-default location.
2. it is supposed to happen with v4 Beta 4 ("missing" resources), but not without the well known side-effect of Indexing.

What I'm saying is that I am not getting missing resources pushed to my v4.

The only missing resources that are currently downloaded by Logos 4 are ones we've specifically marked for the beta test. (More discussion of these resources is at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/2060.aspx and http://community.logos.com/forums/t/2094.aspx.)
Before the release of Logos 4, this system should be extended to include all resources ever published (well, as many as we can find) as well as every new resource published on Pre-Pub. Eventually, when a Pre-Pub product goes live, the licences will be added to your account, and the resources will automatically become available for download. (Theoretically... if you left Logos 4 running overnight, they'd be ready for you in the morning... if we can optimise indexing a bit more. [:)])

Thanks, Bradley. So in the meantime, is the best way to get them on both my machines to run the v3 update script on both?

I cannot get the newly unlocked resource to be available for anything on the new computer. I've ran the install script twice...it is available in v 3. I've restarted v4 a few times. Restarter the computer. Nothing. Any ideas?

Make sure the resource file is in the v3 resource directory, then enter:
scan c:\Program Files\Libronix\Resources
into the Logos4 command box (or whatever your actual resource path is), and restart logos 4
It should startup and scan the directory and copy files it finds to the Logos4 directory and reindex everything.
Or
you could copy the new resource files to a directory by themselves and tell Logos4 to scan that directory instead. It might be faster, I'm not sure.

thank you with "Libronix DLS" instead of Libronix in that scan command, it worked.
How did you know that?

Yeah. DLS..forgot that...
Bradley or Phil told us about it a while back, near the beginning of the beta process.
