no visual filters in libronix for mac?

Am I correct that Libronix (Logos 3) on a mac does not have any visual filters or markup styles?

I just installed it on my new mac and do not see it in the menu. I like to have both Logos3 and Logos4 running because there are some features that function better in Logos3.

You are correct. Libronix Mac doesn't have a huge number of features including visual filters, highlighting, notes, tabs, and much more. It's basically a resource reader with some search abilities.

It's been a while since I've used the older Logos program, and for good reason - the program didn't do very much and what it did was much more limited than what we can do now.

I just got a mac and so I am not really up to speed on the specifics of the mac versions (hence my questions), but I can say that on a PC there are several things that work much better on Libronix Logos 3 than they do in the new Logos 4. For example the speed of the information window in Logos 3 was instantaneous. Now it takes a full 5 seconds (and this is true even on extremely fast computers). That makes it pretty much unusable for translation work. As a result many users including myself like to have both installed and running. However with the missing features of Logos 1 for mac, I think I will stick to just having Logos 4 installed on my mac. Bummer.[:(]

The slow info window is a valid complaint. It's been an issue since Logos 4 first came out and, unfortunately, I've not seen anything to suggest the speed will get back to L3 levels.

But have you noticed the morphology info that displays at the bottom of the window? Even though all the info is not instant, you can instantly get basic parsing info:

Here I'm just using the ESV but it works just as well in any tagged text. For the more complete info of the info window, yes, it requires an aggravating wait, but the info at the bottom will sometimes do instead for quick reference.
