New Hard drive

I'm upgrading my MacBook Pro's hard drive this week. I'm using the opportunity to do a clean install, and wondered what would be the easiest way to re-install Logos 4 without having to re-download all of the books. I'm assuming I can simply copy my resources over to the appropriate places, but any suggestions from others who have done this would be helpful.

Another possibility is using Time Machine backup to restore user stuff (can be done during installation).

Yet another way:

* New drive in external enclosure - connect to MacBook Pro

* Boot MacBook Pro using Mac OS X optical disk (can hold option key while starting for boot menu - insert optical disk - click to boot)

* Use Apple's Disk Utility to format new drive then copy old drive contents to new drive

* Shutdown MacBook Pro

** Optional, can startup MacBook Pro using external new drive (verify copy OK)

* Install new drive in MacBook Pro

* Startup MacBook Pro (should have everything - including Logos 4)

I chose this method when installing a new hard drive. It worked seamlessly, and I did not have to reinstall any program.

Another option might be SuperDuper which can produce a bootable copy of your existing hard drive.

I use SuperDuper and it works great. What I want to do is a fresh install of all my apps. I have several layers of backup, but I was asking in order to save some time in installing Logos. Thanks for all the tips!

Note: if new OS X installation, can skip steps 1 through 3 since have nothing to delete. Step 4 has current download links: Stable is Logos 4.3 SR-2 while Beta is Logos 4.3 (looking forward to Logos 4.5 Beta 1 in one to few weeks).
