I did a search which comes up with a bunch of bible verses. I can right-click verse at a time to copy and paste (say to Word)....but how do I copy and paste ALL of the verses in one shot????
Steve Slesinger
Steve,
Welcome to the forums! Nice to see you here...
Are you running L4?
Currently, there is no way to do this in L4 except to just type all those verse references into the "Copy bible Verses" window and copy/paste them to word.
The other option is to update to the latest "Release Candidate" version of L4; it will allow you to export search results to a "passage list" in a variety of formats....
http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/InstallerBeta/Logos4Setup.exe
Keep in mind that this is a "beta" version though Logos believes it to be stable enough to be a "candidate for release" so it comes with the usual warnings about stability.
You COULD create another user account in windows...install the Beta under that account and use both...separate of each other...that way there is no risk...
I hope that helps...
Or if I'm wrong and there is a way currently to do what you need...then I'm sure someone will chime in...
Welcome to the Forum! Great name [:)]
There is a work around, if you click on the icon in the upper left corner of the Search window and in the drop down menu, click on Save as Passage List, Logos4 will copy all the verses to a new Passage List. When the Passage List opens, you can click in the window and right click on a verse and in the drop down menu click on Select All, then right click on the selected verses and in the drop down menu click on Copy.
After pasting your selections somewhere, you might want to deleted this passage list by: click on File in the top menu and in the drop down menu on the right find the Passage List that was created and right click on it and select Delete.
Hope this helps
Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, I am a brand new user, and am using Logos 4. Very suprised that is not a basic feature -- my free e-sword does that. I saw the method you mentioned,....can also right click each verse individually but that is very time-consuming.
Sounds like the beta has what I'm looking for, but I'll probably wait till it's official. How does that work? Once it's official, will my copy automatically be upgraded?
--Steve
Yes, your software will auto-update. Looks like the release will be very soon. If you want it sooner, the beta is in release candidate 2 and is very stable. I have had no problems at all.

The method i described earlier works in the current release version of Logos4. (ver 4.0d)
In the Search window: (click on an image to see larger view in another window)
A. Click on the icon in the left upper corner of the Search window and then click on Save as Passage List.
In the Passage List you can show your verses in one or more of your Bibles and they will be copied when you paste. Or if you hide all Bibles and it will only show the scripture references
(in the left Word image, i only used one Bible version)
Isn't passage lists part of the beta and not 4.0?
Passage List came out in 4.0c see Release Notes 4.0c Gold
[:)] you made me look, but i have been using PL for quite some time, thanks for having me check.
thanks so much....
What's a bit confusing for a new user is the complexity of the interface. Sometimes you right-click right where you are working; other times you pull down this menu; sometimes a different menu; sometimes an icon lights up to the right. ... But once you pointed me in the right direction, it is very easy.
some of the wiki articles might help you along your way (not necessarily this example).
(for menu bar items) see wiki Visual Table of Contents or the Table of Contents
for Right Click items, see wiki Right Click (specific wiki page, also found under both Table of Contents under Things you can do in a Resource)
you might start viewing wiki pages and when you have questions then don't hesitate to ask here in the forum. There are usually links to videos in many wiki pages, you might also view those.
thanks for the info...much appreciated.
Steven, I guess you have your answer...export your search result to a passage list; WORD format...
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I have been trying to figure out a way to do this for months and months. I've contacted Logos twice about it and I guess the guys I was put in contact with hadn't seen your post or something. This is exactly what I needed! You literally saved me dozens of hours of needless work. I have to create these lists regularly and put them into different programs and you really helped me a ton. I just tried it and it worked perfectly. Thanks, brother.
In Christ,
John
John,
Glad that this was useful for you brother!
Hi Steve:
I've been trying to figure out how to do exactly what you folks were talking about in this post, however, "save as passage list" is not available to me in the drop down menu. I'm not sure why and am wondering if you could help me a bit. Thanks.
Gloria
Hi Gloria,
What kind of computer are you using? Windows or Mac?
EDIT: Gloria, your Search needs to be a Bible Search for this menu item to show. If you are using Basic Search then Logos4 doesn't put this item in the menu. (as for Morph & Syntax Searches, i don't know). Does this help?
With newer versions of Logos4 (4.1 and higher) you can use Print/Export and in the Export area on the lower right portion of the print window you can send it directly to Word.
I'm using LOGOS 4 on Windows. But I can't believe the Mac doesn't have it also. Are you sure you are pulling down the right menu? It's kind of a hidden drop-down with a little triangle "thingee"....
Sorry, my response is late. I guess I should have waited for after Christmas. But I am using Windows. I will look at the rest of the responses and see if anything offered helps.
Thanks guys
"Gloria, your Search needs to be a Bible Search for this menu item to show."

Steve you are the man - the only one with the correct answer. Piece of cake! Thanks it has been a source of frustration for me.
