Hey, in case you have not stumbled across this one...

In the command box, type: Facilitate Serendipitous Discovery

You can also, type f and you will see the choice!

Does this option come with those cool T-Shirts?

Thanks Bob!

All I get is that L4 opens the Pulpit Commentary to 2Chronicles 7:4 point IV.

    What do are you seeing?

Try it again Rich.  Each time you type it (FSD works too) you'll get a new random resource.

In other words it will Facilitate a Serendipitous Discovery.

It's a bit (quite a bit) like "Stumble Upon" but for Logos instead of Firefox.

The completed command can't be dragged to the toolbar /shortcut bar like other commands can.  Anyway we can have it work?

Ah. So 'serendipitous ' means 'random' (in koine English, of course). [;)]

The 1st 3 times I did this, I got the same reference each time. After that I seem to get a random commentary opening to a random passage.

I hope it's not too much like Stumble Upon, since that thing stumbled upon that which would cause me to stumble more than once. So I cast it out and bid it come not hence again. (You just gotta use King James English on those things, you know.)

Type 'f' in command box; 'Facilitate Serendipitous Discovery' will appear in the drop-down suggestions; click that and drag to shortcut bar.

Hmm, but now I have a problem, it looks EXACTLY like  the close all command I've already got there.

We really need different icons, or the ability to add them - please.....

Curiously, it must only store that single instance of FSD.  Every time I click it, no matter when or even after a restart it goes to the same resource now: P46 from the text of the earliest NTG manuscripts. (P266).

Correct; this is a known (but not high priority) bug.

Nice ... this is a great feature, which works well for me, as I often need a fresh idea to get me going.

It's a bit like the "lazy button" on a number of my software synthesizers which creates random sounds by setting all the knobs to random positions - it's amazing how many cool sounds I've discovered this way, and how many serendipitous discoveries have begun by picking a "random" book off the bookshelf.

Maybe once we add a new resource it will chose something else. I am getting an article on Sabellianism in Van Til's Intro to Systematic Theology.

It's Saturday evening late!  My mind is tired.  Just want to let my wander and relax.  So will Facilitate Serendipitous Discovery!  *smile*

What a wonderful option.  Use it every now and again.    Thank you so much Logos !!!
