none - its the same thing!

The one on pre-pub is keyed to the ESV (uses the text of the ESV in the notes), otherwise as Ted said there is no difference.
Some have reported that any actual verses that are now printed out as quotes within the notes will now come from the ESV.

This may be true. But the larges portion of the references will be linked to your favorite bible and will reflect such in the pop ups.
