Sync error
Is the server down, or is there a problem syncing with L4 Win 4.1?

We're not aware of any problems (other than the possible bug you just reported). Do you have a crash log of any sort? Or ConsoleMessages.log? The Logos4.log has an exception, but doesn't give us enough info to pinpoint the type of document that is not syncing correctly.
I just sync'd the Windows version without problems.. seems like a Mac 4.0a issue. I was on the beta channel for Mac and this update came through rather than SR-1 or 2??

I am getting the same results. Resetting the preferences and syncing has not remedied the problem.
Clicking on the "home" symbol twice will fill the home screen.

Thanks John. Does Console Messages have anything in it? Open Console from Utilities and Cmd-Shift-S to save as. The Logos4_Crash.txt was from a bug in Layouts menu from yesterday. As you said, it didn't crash, it just didn't sync.
Additional information... I installed Win L4.1 today and did successfully sync the L4 Mac 4.0. It is a problem with 4.0a.

George, do you have any logs in your /Users/<user.name>/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Logging folder? Would you mind sending those to us so we can see if your error is the same as John's?
Same thing for me. Opening Logos 4.0a will show only the top part of the home screen. Clicking twice on the home icon is filling the home screen!

David, are you saying you're having a sync problem or the home page problem? This thread is confused because there are two different bug reports.
1) The home page is not generating correctly on 4.0a until the home button is clicked twice. I can confirm that one and we'll fix it.
2) John Fidel has reported a sync issue. I haven't been able to reproduce this one.

I didn't see any evidence of a sync malfunction in the logs. Are you still seeing this issue?

I am still having the same issue. I have restarted my system and tried different Internet connections, without any change. The symptom is that the main screen does not refresh when opening Logos.

I went to the L4 Win setup and deleted all my sentence diagrams I just imported from L3. I then ran the sync on the L4 Mac and there were no errors. I suspect that 4.0a needs to recognize not to try and sync sentence diagrams if they exist in an L4 Win setup. BTW, is this the release of what we were testing in the beta channel or some other drop?

I imported your diagrams on 4.1 and they synced over to my Mac just fine. I obviously couldn't manipulate them on 4.0a, but they didn't cause a sync crash for me.
