Jason, I never used this in Libronix, and only recently understood how they are helpful. I have a question, however: as I am a 64-bit computer guy, am I shut out of this option completely, or can I somehow tweak it so I can use it (like run Office as 32 bit) or something?
Hi Dan
The Smart Tags wiki page (http://wiki.logos.com/Smart_Tags) states that:
"In order to use Smart Tags you must have Logos 4 WIN (4.1 or higher), and Office 2003, 2007, or 2010 (32 bit). Microsoft does not support Smart Tags on the 64bit edition of Office and so 64bit Windows users are recommended to install the 32bit version if they wish to use Logos Smart Tags."
So it looks like you would need to install the 32-bit version of Office to get this.

Hi Dan,
I'm a 64bit Vista user running 32bit Office 2007 & Smart Tags work fine. Since I was one of the last to have them working (haven't seen any new problems since Bradley & the gang resolved the problem I & a few others had), I believe it's safe to say everything you'd need to get them working is on the forums, once you've got 32bit Office working.
Reading between the lines in the TechNet article that Graham referred you to, the Microsoft folks suggest that the only real reason to upgrade to 64bit Office is if you have exceptionally large spreadsheets. Otherwise, we should run 32bit, for compatibility (addins, ActiveX, other programs that interface with Office, etc.).
Blessings!
