Offline Question

I just had a quick question on reading books offline:

Is there a simple way to refresh a downloaded book?

A few reasons:

  • I have a table of contents that seems to be out of sync with the downloaded book.
  • Also I have noticed that sometimes text is missing from a downloaded resource.
  • I feel like I have to keep comparing the iPod resource to the original to make sure I have it all

I've tried to set the resource to "not available" offline and then re-enable it. But sometimes when the resource is re-enabled it downloads so quickly that it seems like is perhaps using a cached copy of the resource.

Thanks

Setting the "available offline" switch to off does delete the resource. The resource files can actually take around 30 seconds to delete because the storage on the device isn't very fast. After deleting the resource, wait 30 seconds before downloading it again.

In a future version of the app, we'll have a better way to update offline resources.
