Shortcut key for highlighting the same word?
Is there a shortcut key for color coding the same word instead of having to continually click on the color or image?

Do you mean using the highlighting tool? Once you highlight a word or passage with a color, if you highlight another and hit Cmd (apple) + K it highlights that word or passage with the last highlight type that you used.

Yes that is what I am doing. Thanks for the help will make it easier when highlighting the same word.

You could just use a visual filter to do this automatically if you want to highlight the same English word in a passage or resource. See http://wiki.logos.com/Visual_Filter

doing a visual filter is very easy...just:
1.) Right click your word, choose "search this resource."
2.) After the results are in, choose "make filter."
3.) Then just choose the highlighting style that you want on that particular word.

Hi Robert, Followed the directions, but how do I get it to search after I have put the highlighting style in? It just comes up with another box to fill in.
I tried clicking enter, but that did not work.

What I think Robert was suggesting is something like the following:
Selecting a word in a Bible and searching for all occurrences of it - I chose Jacob
Executing the search ends up with a set of results (first few shown below):
Clicking on the "Make Filter" button (shown in red in the diagram above) results in a pane as below:
You can rename the filter by just typing over the "Untitled Visual Filter" (I will use "Jacob")
Clicking in the "Formatting" box on the right gives you a list of formatting options - I scrolled down to the "Double Box"
which resulted in
:This filter is now active.
Going back to the original Bible text, this highlight is now in effect as shown below:
The text for "Jacob" is also shaded - this is because the search panel is still open. Closing that search panel will remove the shading but leave the box in place due to the visual filter.

you can also set shortcut keys for highlighting
open the highlighting panel, right click on the highlighter you want, then click the "shortcut key" option which gives you a list to chose from
you should end up with your shortcuts labeled next to the highlighter. so for instance when i am reading a commentary for a sermon, i highlight the text i think is important, the just push "y" and it's yellow highlighted. then afterwards, you can use the little section mover (dont know the real name) at the top right of the resource, change that to "highlight" and move back and forth to just the things youve highlighted, your own cliff's notes of sorts.

I am taking notes so I can remember all of this great information. Thanks so much for the info, the only downside is I am spending so much time learning about Logos that I am running behind in studying, but I love it.
