Crash opening New Living Translation from my library. May be a problem with the NLT file as it also crashed opening from the Reading Plan on the home page (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/2406.aspx ). What is the file name for NLT and I'll delete it so that it gets re-sync'ed (oh no a re-index).

Log attached.

    Or here!

Philippians 4:  4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

    Richard and Milford,

I'm wondering now if it is a problem with my install - Bradley says my log shows a problem which is fixed in B6 - but I can't open the NIV either. I had taken L4 off my machine because our IT guy wanted to send it in for a warranty repair, but the problem is intermittent and because it went away, we have to wait. So, I re-installed L4. Maybe it is corrupt.

Next step, keep trying to open resources until I run out of resources or find one that opens. :)

The crash may be related to the default fonts specified in Tools > Program Settings. I'm not sure if you'll be able to open the Settings panel (or if it will crash, too), but try changing your Greek, Hebrew, and Syriac font choices, and seeing if that helps the problem.

Thanks, Bradley. I'm able to open the NLT and NIV from my shortcut bar but when I tried to open the NIGTC (error in my other post) from a PG it still crashed. I restarted, changed the Greek font to Gentium from KadmosU and was able to open the NIGTC (Hebrews) from a PG, but then when I tried to open the NLT from the shortcut bar it crashed. I just tried to reproduce and had a crash just opening the NIGTC (Hebrews) from a PG - but there was a 5-10 second delay - so may have been that crash rather than the NLT. I've attached the log for the second crash - it also sent to Microsoft on both.

Yes, I had no Greek font selected. I remember noticing that while L4 was installing and tho't it was because I had selected the SBL font (at least that's what I think I did) before I uninstalled, but since I wasn't fully reinstalled it wasn't there because it wasn't yet installed - but I had assumed it would install and then be selected. It is still not there - not sure why as that was added in a resource update last week.

    Bradley,

I'm still getting a crash when I link from the commentary section of a PG to the NIGTC. I'm using B6. I've set my Greek font to Palatino Linotype, this time. There is a delay before the program crashes. No log to Microsoft, but I have to close L4.

    Log attached.

Does this still happen in B6?

    George:

In trying to reproduce this I got a different crash. I closed all the windows I was in, then opened the PG to the same passage (Heb. 6:1). I wanted to make sure that the PG was fully propogated so scrolled down. While trying to scroll to the bottom of the Sermon Central section (last section) the program crashed.

    Logs attached.

Now I'll go try to reproduce the other one -- it was still crashing a day or two ago in B6

    George:

Again, I waited till the PG had fully propogated. This time I went down to the "Compare Versions ?" section because the "Topics" one (just above) was still working. I just left it working and went to other things. After 3 minutes or so, the program crashed. I'm wondering if my crash is something in the PG as opposed to the linking to the NIGTC - although I did link to other commentaries and didn't have a crash.

I've attached this log and will keep trying.

    George:

I'm just reproducing the error here: It took 2:13 till it crashed. I did no linking.

This time I linked to the NIGTC right away. It took about 2 minutes to crash. I think it is related to the "Topics" generating.
