hi everybody

has there been any improvements with the notes in beta 5?

Any idea when we will get some improvements on the  notes section?

is there going to be  enhancements and improvements  to the notes function  before the  public release?

development team thank you all for the amazing new  features

What improvements are you waiting/hoping for?

I haven't noticed anything different in B5, from previous versions, but I haven't had any problems either.

    My Main problems:

    1. Formatting issues when tab too narrow
    2. No ability to organize or determine display order (by canonical order OR date)
    3. Formatting bar tends to get stuck ontop of text; sometimes it takes on an always-on-top position over other windows
    4. No import of notes from v. 3

Apologies if this has been said before and I know this is off topic for the thread.

In V3 I often paste a set of sermon notes, course notes, a teaching paper, etc, into notes, then use the built in feature to convert the bible links into clickable links. I then can study this text and have the bible references as popups or available by clicking on the link.

This is a feature I miss in the current notes. I hope it is on plan for a future beta/release.

     hi everybody

I'm having the same problems  with the formatting toolbar  it seems to be in the way when I'm trying to enter text

I did report an issue  with the formatting toolbar not sizing to the  note window

it would be nice to have a way to change the colour of the text in a note

a  background colour for a note which will help to segregate them a bit more

if I have   have several notes  in one note file  it's difficult to distinguish between them,  there is no border separating them

Yes, I've noticed that as well.  If they want to have a floating format bar, it would be nice if there were a way to grab it and move it out of the way.

Or if it would just disappear like the one in Office 2007 that reappears when you move the mouse up and right at the same time.

    My comments on notes:

I do not like the floating format bar. It is more disruptive than useful.

Any time I paste into a note, the position jumps to the top or bottom making me hunt for the note I was in

Agreed.  There is no reason that the format bar could not be anchored to the top.  It may seem like a new cool feature, but give me the old boring way -- it works.

I agree with George. I like the formatting bar in that it gives me a wide range of formatting choices regardless of tab size. But it inevitably is covering something I want to see, either a note or overhanging onto something I want to read. There is no way for the app to intelligently guess what I don't want it to cover up (and right now, more often than not it covers up the exact area I'm typing in)..

At the very least, it would be helpful to be able to move the bar out of the way, but it may just be nice to have it anchored to the top of the window

In Beta 6, the formatting toolbar will anchored at the top of the Notes panel. It is also confined to the panel width (the various controls wrap accordingly).
